Gilbert Police Department is Growing
Incorporated on July 6, 1920, Gilbert is a relatively new community that has seen tremendous growth during the past two decades. The Town of Gilbert has been recently ranked as the #1 Best Place in Arizona to Raise a Family (WalletHub, 2024). In 2022, Gilbert Police Department became Autism Certified by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) and recently renewed our certification to continue our commitment with the special needs community we serve and protect.
The Gilbert Police Department is an accredited agency through the Arizona Law Enforcement Accreditation Program. Engaging every element of our community is critical to the department’s goal of remaining one of the safest cities in the country.
